Over the past few weeks I have been developing a website and server for anyone who wished to have a bit of Minecraft fun. At the moment I’ve teamed up with one of my best mates from uni to unleash the power of a full creative server, and a pve (player vs environment) server.

A bit about the servers:

The servers are run by the ongoing bukkit software which is an alternative server method other than the vanilla you can find on minecraft.net. — This software is packed to the rim with an active API that allows individuals to create various plugins. At the moment I’ve been able to setup a server that people can without fear build megastructures and enjoy the full potential of minecraft.

A bit about the website:

I thought I’d try something new and try out vanilla forums – and wow, it’s some powerfull stuff! Included straight off is an option to not only bridge, but to intergrate the forum software straight into wordpress. It worked flawlessly, and the result is spectacular. As much as I hate iframes and the liking – It’s pretty darn good. I’ve also quickly installed a social plugin that allows you to login through various social medians, such as facebook/twitter etc, to which worked wonders as well.

Finally the theme I put together was a quick fix and is clean, personalised, and has turned out, well in my opinion, quite good! :)
